NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine) is the more easily absorbed and useful form of the amino acid, L-cysteine. It is a powerful antioxidant that helps protect cells from oxidative stress. It is believe to be especially helpful in protecting the liver by raising glutathione levels in the body.
